This is the aim of the project, which in its first phase focuses on the sustainable management of two of the most important fungal diseases in viticulture: mildew and oidium. They’re usually two diseases that the viticulturist controls using periodic phytosanitary treatments that they carry out during the spring and summer. With this project, we seek to obtain objective data that justifies these treatments and carry them out only when necessary, following the guidelines of organic viticulture. For this we have a decision support system (DDS). It is a mathematical model that processes the climatic data recorded by a meteorological station and links them to the phenological cycle of the vine. The result is a system that warns of the risk of fungal infection based on these two parameters.
We carried out this project thanks to the aid program for the promotion of technological innovation through farms or farms collaborated by the Department of Agriculture, Environment, Climate Change and Rural Development of the Generalitat Valenciana.
