WASTE RECOVERY THROUGH Agro Composting

THE BIG BET OF THE Ministry of Agriculture of the GVA
The Agro Composting project is part of a collaboration agreement between the Generalitat Valenciana, through the Ministry of Agriculture, Environment, Climate Change and Rural Development and the Miguel Hernández University of Elche, for the execution of a research and experimentation project in Composting. The project aims to carry out actions of revitalization, consulting and advice on the topic of composting.
Bodegas Enguera has participated, since 2019, in the preparation of test compost piles from the organic waste generated by the winery, the vineyard, the Campo Enguera oil mill and other farms in the region. Year after year, we are expanding the production of compost and increasing the surface of the vineyard fertilized exclusively with this organic fertilizer.

SHARING OUR PASSION FOR SUSTAINABILITY
In July 2022, our winery hosted the first ever technical seminar on agro composting held in Enguera. We were able to share the results of this project and the experience in agro composting with other winemakers and producers in the province of Valencia. This conference was carried out thanks to Raúl Moral, director of the agrocompost project and his technical team, Ana GarcÃa and Vicent Blay. 5 barricas, echoed the news by publishing a nice summary of the day in their newspaper.
